Enjoy some family fun at Pony Express Days

Celebrations begin in Eagle Mountain the day school gets out with the Memorial Day weekend Pony Express Rodeo and then continuing with Pony Express Days, which will be a week full of family activities for everyone.
The schedule includes the following events:
May 26, 27 and 29: The Pony Express Rodeo will be held at the Pony Express Memorial Park Arena (4447 Major Street). Pre-sale ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children 11 and under, $ for students 12 to 18 and $9 for military members. Tickets will also be on sale at the gate. May 30: A bike ride and pancake dinner will start off the city's Pony Express Days on Monday, May 30, at Eagle Mountain City Hall with a 2.8-mile, one-way bike ride at 6 p.m. and a free pancake dinner at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will be served by the mayor and city council. Registration is required and is participation is free.

May 31: Family Fun Night will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nolan Park with jump houses and other inflatables, popcorn and cotton candy. Starting at dusk,  the Movie at the Park will be shown on the big screen and free popcorn will be given out while supplies last. The movie to be shown is "Moana."

June 1-3: The Pony Express Days Carnival will be held at Nolen Park. Pre-sale tickets will be sold at all Eagle Mountain schools (except Frontier Middle School) and city hall starting on Monday May 8. Pre-sale tickets at the schools will begin May 22 and continue through May 31. On June 1, the carnival will be open from 4 to 10 p.m. It will continue operating on June 2 and 3 from noon to 11 p.m. Visit the Eagle Mountain city website for more pricing options.

June 3: The Cupcake Charity of Eagle Mountain 5K Race. The 5K will start at 7 a.m. The Kids Fun Run starts at 8 a.m. Check in time is between 6 and 6:30 a.m. Registration fees are $15 for the 5K is $15 and $5 for the Kids Fun Run (ages 10 and under). There will be no day-of registrations and no refunds.

June 3: The Demolition Derby will be held at the Pony Express rodeo arena. Prices are $15 for adults, $5 for children and $13 for members of the military.

June 3: The Grand Parade will begin at 10 a.m. The parade will start at Hidden Hollow Elementary. This year a float contest will be held for the first time through which will be awarded for originality/creativity, workmanship/use of materials and overall appearance and neatness as well as two best overall entries.

June 3: Firework show at the Cory B. Wride Memorial Park. Parking is available at Frontier Middle School. Fireworks show starts at dusk.
